Gundog breeds are incredibly popular pets - and for good reason. They are intelligent, loyal, eager to please and full of personality. However, for many gundogs, an active home and plenty of exercise alone isn’t always enough. Without an outlet for their natural instincts, they can become over-aroused, easily distracted, frustrated, or struggle with behaviours such as running off to greet other dogs.
Even if you have no intention of stepping onto a shooting field, your pet gundog still carries the same natural drives and instincts as a working gundog. Gundog training is a fantastic way to channel those instincts in a positive, fulfilling way while building a stronger partnership between you and your dog.
Through fun, reward based training, we help you develop skills such as recall, retrieving, scent work, focus, steadiness and teamwork, giving your dog an appropriate outlet for their breed-specific needs.

Training doesn’t stop when the session ends. At Ramble & Retrieve, we believe the best progress comes from continued support, guidance and helping you navigate real-life situations as they happen.
Alongside your sessions, you’ll have access to ongoing WhatsApp support for questions, updates and guidance between sessions to help you understand what to practise, how to progress and how to build skills into everyday life.
