Terms & Conditions

By booking or attending training with Ramble & Retrieve you have read and agree to the terms and conditions.

“Trainer”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “I” or “Me'“ refers to Rachel Smith.

“Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the dog’s owner or handler.

“Dog” refers to any dog owned or handled by the client.

“Session” or “Training” refers to any 121 in-person or group class.

Retrieve & Ramble will prioritise dog welfare and emotional wellbeing using ethical, force-free methods, avoiding pain, fear, intimidation, or coercion

I will work within the limits of my professional competence and where appropriate may recommend referral to a veterinary professional or another suitably qualified behaviourist/trainer.

We believe in using kind handing at all times and that positive reinforcement is the most effective way to train dogs. We will not allow dogs to be forcefully or harshly handled, or intimidated, during training. Including the use of training tools. No slip leads (unless they have a stopper), prong collars, check chains or electric collars to be used at all.

Success of a training plans do not have a fixed time-frame and will be dependent on the individual dog. There are no quick-fixes for long-term changes and no specific outcome(s) can not be guaranteed.

The client is responsible for their dog at all times during training sessions. While every effort is made to ensure the safety of the client’s dog(s) during walks, Ramble & Retrieve is not liable for any injuries or accidents other than those caused by negligence on the part of Ramble & Retrieve.

Clients must inform Ramble & Retrieve of any known medical conditions, behavioural issues, or aggressive tendencies their dog(s) may have. Clients must inform Ramble & Retrieve if their dog(s) is (are) unwell – vomiting, diarrhoea, symptoms of kennel cough. Ramble & Retrieve reserves the right to not walk the dog(s) if the illness puts other dogs at risk. Please do not bring your dog to classes if they have had vomiting, diarrhoea or coughing in the last 24hrs.

Payments for individual sessions are to be made within 7 days of invoicing. Packages are to paid in full upon booking. If a package can not be fulfilled by Ramble & Rerieve, the remaining sessions will be refunded.

Cancellation of individual sessions must be given 48 hours prior to the session, refunds can not be given under this time. Cancellation of packages/courses must be given 1 week before first session, refunds can not be given under this time.

We hold the right to rearrange or cancel sessions at short notice due to adverse and extreme weather conditions.

Children are welcome to attend sessions but those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, and not interfere with others, at all times.

Bitches in season must not attend group sessions. Injured dogs must not attend sessions. Handlers are welcome to still attend with no dog to learn and observe.

Please ensure you clean up after your dogs and place all waste in the bin provided.

Personal and dog-related information will remain confidential and be used for the legitimate purposes of this service only.

Photography and social media: Photos of the Client’s dog(s) may be used on social media unless the Client has opted out.

We hold no responsibility for any damage to vehicle or property.

Ramble & Retrieve has £5,000,000 of public liability insurance. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
